our story

In 1951, the company officially opened under the name American Woodworking Company, manufacturing all forms of cabinetry for the Tri-State area. By the 1970s, the founder’s two sons took over the company, expanding into wholesale distribution alongside cabinet manufacturing. The last manufacturing facility closed in the mid 1990s, shifting the company’s focus to wholesaling high-quality sourced products.
Today, the reimagined company, American Woodworking & Design, is led by the original founder’s third-generation grandson and two partners who bring extensive backgrounds and decades of hands-on experience in the home renovation industry. The company offers a wide range of products, from kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and flooring to tile, hardscape, and various building materials.
